05 Abr ENGLISH IMMERSION PROGRAMME
Our language immersion programme in English for infants and primary school often includes the participation of our students in workshops and theatrical performances in this second language, with the aim of naturally developing, through games and entertainment, understanding and oral expression.
These activities also promote cooperative work and allow deepening in a playful way in contents of other areas, or in values and attitudes that are intended to be reinforced from the tutorial action.
An example is this morning of INTERACTIVE ACTIVITIES IN ENGLISH at school, for all infant and primary students:
✔️Early Years (PYP 1, 2 & 3) have attended the theatrical performance «The very hungry caterpillar», as a starting point for the spring season.
✔️1st and 2nd grade (PYP 4 & 5) have read and worked on the story «The Smartest Giant in Town», with which they have learned the value of friendship, respect and empathy.
✔️3rd and 4th grades (PYP 6 & 7) have participated in the «Plant Seeds» workshop, working cooperatively on communication skills and creative thinking, and content in the Natural Science area.
✔️5th and 6th grades (PYP 8 & MYP 1) have worked on the value of friendship, promoting cooperative and team work at the same time, with the escape room «The curse of the mummy».
