WORLD MOTHER EARTH DAY

WORLD MOTHER EARTH DAY

🇬🇧 EN > On #WorldMotherEarthDay we remember that learning  how our planet and its ecosystems work and knowing about biodiversity from a young age is essential to provide a mindful and environmental education.

Today we show some everyday images of a NATURAL SCIENCE class in PYP 8 (5th grade of Primary). While some students take care of the plants or living things that inhabit our small ecosystems recreated in class, others review more theoretical concepts making diagrams from their notes or playing games created by our teaching team specifically to deal with the content that belongs to the level.

We want our students to grow up knowing that we are part of this planet and that it is necessary to respect, love and care for it.

To do this they have to know it in depth and thoroughly, in which we achieve through outdoor activities in the school’s own gardens or orchards or on school trips to the natural environment, but also by studying more theoretical aspects in the classroom to be able to understand it. Our goal is to bring them closer to everything they have to learn in a stimulating way that facilitates real, meaningful and lasting learning.
