11 Feb INTERNATIONAL WOMEN & GIRLS IN SCIENCE DAY
🇬🇧 EN > International Day of Women and Girls in Science is February 11.
Our 5th graders (PYP 8) have researched a famous STEM woman and completed a banner about her contributions. We have learnt about their birthdays, events and discoveries they are best known for, some interesting facts, timeline of achievements and a famous quote!
This project has encouraged our students ‘ research and acknowledgement, thus promoting two of the IB attributes we are working in class.
🇪🇸 ES > El 11 de febrero se celebra el Día Internacional de la mujer y la niña en la ciencia.
Con este motivo, nuestros alumnos de PEP 8 (5º primaria) han investigado sobre diferentes mujeres STEM famosas en la historia y hecho un banderín con sus logros, fechas de nacimiento, datos importantes, una línea del tiempo con sus descubrimientos y una cita importante de cada una de ellas. Cada uno ha presentado su trabajo al resto de sus compañeros.
